Kerala Government Launches New Weekly Lottery – Bhagyathara
Draw to be Held Every Monday with Jackpot of ₹1 Crore

Thiruvananthapuram, April 9, 2025 —
In a major announcement aimed at enhancing public participation and increasing prize offerings, the Government of Kerala has launched a brand-new weekly lottery titled Bhagyathara (BT) Weekly Lottery. This newly introduced lottery will be drawn every Monday, replacing the previous WIN WIN weekly lottery series.

  • Ticket Price: ₹50 (₹39.06 base price + 28% GST)
  • Total Tickets Printed: 1.08 crore
  • Total Prize Money: ₹24.16 crore
  • First Prize: ₹1 crore (Common to all series)
  • Second Prize: ₹75 lakh
  • Draw Day: Every Monday
  • Draw Location: Thiruvananthapuram

The tickets will be distributed by the Kerala State Lottery Agents’ and Sellers’ Welfare Fund Board, headquartered at the KSRTC Bus Terminal Complex, Thampanoor, Thiruvananthapuram.

Transparent and Supervised Draw Process

The draw will be conducted under strict supervision, following Kerala Paper Lotteries Regulation Rules, 2005, using a mechanical random draw device. A panel of at least three judges will oversee the process, and the results will be broadcast live via TV and official social media platforms of the State Lotteries Department.

Unclaimed or unsold numbers drawn will be immediately re-drawn to ensure fairness, and the entire process will be recorded and documented with judges’ approval.

A Strategic Move

According to the official gazette, this initiative is intended to provide a more attractive prize structure and increase public interest. The Bhagyathara Weekly Lottery is seen as a fresh step to boost state revenues and support welfare initiatives through legal and regulated lottery systems.
